Senior Minister 

As the senior minister, I don’t minister just to seniors!  I am privileged to minister throughout all ages within the SMCC family.  My wife, Sandy, and I have two children, Amber and Matt.  I was born and raised in Bassett, Va.  In 2003, I graduated from Winston-Salem Bible College and have been on staff here since 2000 starting as the youth minister before becoming the senior minister in 2007.  Come and visit with us sometime soon and I am sure that you will feel at home with this extraordinary family.

Worship Minister 

Hi, my name is  Josué and I am the Worship Minister here at Stone Memorial Christian Church.  I absolutely enjoy sharing my love and passion for Christ Jesus through Song and Music and get excited to hear and see His Children praise His holy name each week during our Sunday Morning Worship Services.  I have had the great pleasure of being a Worship Minister for over a decade.  Prior to serving at SMCC, I held Worship positions across the United States in California.  With God’s leading, He moved my family and I to our new and beautiful home here at Stone Memorial. I have been greatly blessed with two teenage sons, Titus and Micah, and am married to an amazing and extremely talented woman of great faith, who not only has been my partner in marriage, but also in ministry, Sarah. We, as a family, enjoy serving alongside our brothers and sisters here at Stone and greatly look forward in getting to know you.  Many Blessings!

Youth Director

Hello there, my name is Jonthan Deadmond, but everyone calls me JD. I am the Youth Director here at Stone Memorial, where I am charged with the Spiritual Development of all kids from ages 0-17. I was born in Raleigh, NC and lived in that area until I was 16. Then, through a series of events, moved to Ridgeway, VA. There I graduated from Magna Vista High School (Go Warriors!) in ‘07. I joined the Marine Corps in 2010 and served at 4th Battalion, Bravo Co. in Roanoke, VA as a Reservist. I have since been Honorably Discharged and began working as a Forklift Driver for VF Outdoors before answering God’s call to jump into ministry and serve. I am married to my gorgeous wife, Marybeth. We have a beautiful daughter named Gwendolyn. I have been a member of Stone Memorial Christian Church for the past 9 years. During which time, I have served as a Deacon on two separate terms. During this past year, however, I have felt God really move in my heart and begin to stir a passion for young people. Through much prayer, the leading of the Holy Spirit and great conversations with my Wife, I decided to answer the call into Ministry. This is a calling, that I know Christ Jesus has been guiding me towards my whole life. Now, that I have stepped into faith and answered His call for my life, there is absolutely nothing else that I would rather do. There is so much more to my story and I would love to share my testimony with anyone, so if interested, feel free to stop by the Church and visit me in my Office and we will chat about what amazing things my God has done.

I enjoy life with my husband, Brian, our dog, Thor, and our cat, Ebony.  As a member of the worship team here at Stone Memorial, it is my prayer that people are led to Christ through our voices. Outside of church, I enjoy reading, music, spending time with my family and friends, and anything Disney. We have an exceptional family at Stone Memorial. I am genuinely blessed and honored to be a part of it. My desire is to welcome all who serve and come to our Lord and Savior.
